News From The Council Chamber
9th September 2009
The enterance to the quarry park has been improved with a new surface and footpath giving much better access from the Broadway. This will make it a lot better in the winter, no puddles.
The walfare on Broadway has new pedestrian access this should improve safety for the young people and all users in general. It is hoped this new access will halt the practice of climbing boundary fences.
The council are going to create a new play builder scheme in quarry park. This will enhance a much used recreational area of the village.Further consultation is expected from the students of Hatfield Visual Arts Collage. They will be encouraged to input any ideas and designs. We expect the completion will be Feb-Mar 2010 something to look forward to.
Cllr Beryl Harrison and i are working with the Nieghbourhood team to have a deep clense of Broadway which will mean emptying the roadside drains better street cleaning and road markings. In particular better markings ti give clearer definition on the speed humps and slow the traffic down.
